Nokia Signs Warner to Music Deal

Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia, said today that Warner Music has agreed with her soon to be launched music service, the device, its users access to music, Warner issued.

"Warner Music Group was the pioneer in the development of new digital music business models, and we are glad that they are on board, head of Nokia devices in the entertainment Tero Ojanperae said in the statement.

Nokia comes with music service expected to be launched in the second half of 2008, Nokia allows users to unlimited downloads of music from different artists on their mobile devices during the first year after purchase.

After one year, customers can keep download music, Nokia said.

Warner Music Group is the third major label to cooperate with the new for Nokia Universal Music Group and Sony BMG International. Nokia said that in talks with many other international labels.

Recording companies are looking for Nokia and others to challenge the dominance of Apple iTunes, because they must fight to the negotiating table with the U.S. group from one phase to the positions on such issues as pricing.
