iphone G3 Apple

If you're like many consumers around the world, you're probably already well aware of the fact that the new iPhone 3G will go on sale at 8 am next Friday (July 11) at AT&T retail shops and Apple stores.

If you're "upgrade eligible" you'll be able to buy the new iPhone for the discounted price of $199 for the 8GB version or $299 for the 16GB model plus an additional $18 upgrade fee. Individuals who are not eligible for the discount will be looking at $399 for the 8GB iPhone 3G or $499 for the 16GB version.

If that sounds pricey to you, wait until you here what customers with a fear of commitment will be looking at: AT&T also says that a no-commitment iPhone 3G will be available soon, at $599 for the 8GB version and or $699 for the 16GB handset. Hey, when you don't want to sign a two-year commitment contract, it's going to cost you. These customers will be basically signing a month-to-month billing agreement. Unfortunately, AT&T doesn't plan on offering the new iPhone on a prepaid basis
